Luke Bryan recently released a new song, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” via Capitol Nashville.
“But I Got A Beer In My Hand” is a “good summertime party song about heartbreak,” said Bryan.
“It’s about a guy that obviously, his girl leaves him and he’s expecting to really be down about it,” he shard. “Instead, he goes out, gets a beer in his hand, starts partying and life’s pretty good.”
Chase McGill, Matt Dragstrem and Geoff Warburton co-wrote the song produced by Jeff Stevens and co-produced by Jody Stevens.
“But I got a beer in my hand, and I got it raised up high / I ain’t got a give in my damn right, I can do this all night / Country done came to town, this town don’t stand a chance / I’ll holler at the ladies, dancin’ like crazy / New Luccheses, fresh up out the deer stand / Feelin’ this high, wasn’t part of my plan / Wasn’t even gonna try / But I got a beer in my hand,” Bryan sings.
“I knew I wanted a fun uptempo song everyone could enjoy this summer,” said Bryan. “I can’t wait to start doing it live. It’s gonna be a blast.”
His social media accounts add, with a reference to a lyric in the song, “Your new summer anthem has arrived. This town doesn’t stand a chance with this one.”
Bryan, set to go on a 36-city Country on Tour beginning June 15th, will perform the song song at his shows.
