Lydia Bright rushes daughter to A&E after fans spot breathing problem

Lydia Bright has revealed she had to rush her one-year-old daughter Loretta to the hospital on Tuesday night as she struggled to breathe.

The 30-year-old Towie star thanked her fans for noticing that her little one was wheezing, which prompted a trip to A&E where doctors discovered that Loretta had bronchitis.

Sharing her stressful 48 hours, Lydia wrote on her Instagram story: ‘From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I received so many messages re Loretta’s breathing.

‘Last night, it got really bad and I thought it was best to go to A&E and get it checked out.’

Lydia also posted a screenshot of one message that she received from a nurse.

The DM read: ‘Hi Lydia, I’m a paediatric staff nurse in A&E and hope you don’t mind me messaging but Loretta sounds as though she has a significant wheeze which may need an inhaler and steroids.

‘If you feel her breathing becomes laboured and she starts sucking in under her ribs please seek medical advice.’

The nurse continued: ‘There are some really nasty bugs going around at the moment.

‘As a mum myself it’s awful when your little one is unwell. Keep safe x.’

In a later post, Lydia posted a picture of Loretta in hospital alongside the caption: ‘It turns out my poor baby has Bronchitis.’

She also shared a screenshot of the worried messages she had written to her mum, Debbie.

‘Mum I’m really worrying,’ one read. ‘This is Loretta’s breathing. It’s like she can’t catch her breath. She fell asleep at 6:30 and I’m trying to keep her elevated and have given her Calpol and kids cough mixture but I’m really worrying. Shall I take her to hospital?’

‘It’s been a really hard 48 hours,’ she added. ‘No matter how old I get, I will always need my mum and dad. Thank you for always being there.’

Lydia welcomed Loretta in February 2020 with her ex-partner Lee Cronin.
