MAFS Johnathan Wileman reveals secret health battle ‘edited out’ of E4 show

Married at First Sight UK's Johnathan Wileman has revealed he secretly suffers from a health condition, alleging that scenes in which he discussed it were cut out of the E4 show.

This year’s series of the hit reality programme saw Jonathan’s fiery opinions divide fans and fellow contestants alike.

Despite facing a few hurdles with his partner Sophie Brown, the couple made it through multiple dinners and home stays before getting to the final vows.

Sadly, they later split and while things initially seemed amicable, it seems they've now turned sour.

Amid a row between the pair, the 32 year old joiner has revealed that he is living with hand arm vibration syndrome, also known as HAVs.

In a statement issued to OK!, a representative for Johnathan said: "He has suffered a work place injury leaving him with a condition called HAVs.

“Hand arm vibration syndrome is one of the most common work place injuries where the usage of power tools risks this irreversible and life altering disability.”

There are currently 300,000 sufferers of HAVs in the UK and a further 2 million at risk of developing the condition, and while avoidable, the damage is permanent once it sets in.

Legislation was introduced in 2005 to better protect workers from vibration at work, which has aided in reducing the amount of affected over time.

For Johnathan, the diagnosis has meant "his joinery career has ended due to his disability making it impossible for him to continue in the career he worked hard to establish himself in."

For “reasons unknown”, Johnathan's condition was not shown in the final edit of the show, which his spokesperson said is strange considering he filmed scenes talking about it.

On the show, Sophie frequently said she wanted someone "ambitious" and the edit suggested Johnathan did not fit the bill.

His representative continued: "Johnathan is not unambitious, he is simply trying to figure out who he is now that the career he loved was taken through no fault of his own."

This comes after Sophie, 29, made a subtle jab at her former reality show husband on TikTok, using his own words that went viral.

In an episode of MAFS UK, Sophie and Jonathan were having dinner with fellow cast members Thomas Hartley and Adrian Anderson when he made a series of remarks about not wanting to date muscular women.

He said: “I don't want someone who has got horse legs.

“I never personally want a girl that's huge like body builder legs and a body builder body and someone that's really built up.”

When Sophie tried to stop him, he called her patronising.

Now, the head of partnership at a tech company has used her former hubby’s voice as a sound on TikTok.

The video shows Sophie working as Jonathan’s voice plays, sparking reactions from fans, with one dubbing it “ICONIC.”

Johnathan is said to be “deeply saddened” by the TikTok, with his rep adding: "Johnathan would like it to be known that despite her deeply upsetting behaviour, he wishes her well and hopes that she finds happiness in her future."
