Mansion shown in Harry and Meghans Netflix documentary is not actually theirs

The home which features in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's new Netflix series is not actually theirs, it has been revealed.

The first three episodes of Harry & Meghan, a six-part documentary series starring Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, were released on 8 December with millions across the globe tuning in to watch.

The series features a string of interviews with the couple filmed inside a stunning mansion, which many fans presumed to be Harry and Meghan's £11 million family home.

However, the property that features in the documentary is actually a £27.3 million Californian mansion which is currently up for sale.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the 13,599 sq ft, six-bedroom home once belonged to disgraced Quadriga Arts CEO Mark Schulhof, who was accused of orchestrating a $116 million (£95m) scam targeting disabled veterans.

888 Lilac Lane is a nine-minute drive from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Montecito mansion, which they purchased back in 2020 after relocating to the US.

According to the listing for the Lilac Lane property, it boasts a swimming pool, spa, private gym and pebbled walkways.

In clips included in Harry and Meghan's series, the pair can be seen sitting in a lounge area complete with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the ocean.

Decor inside the mansion appears to be understated with the colour scheme consisting of neutral tones, and large light grey sofas can be seen along with plants, and multiple side tables.

The information about the property comes as a third trailer for Harry & Meghan was recently released ahead of the final three episodes becoming available to watch on 15 December.

The second and final volume from the show will feature behind the scenes clips of the Sussexes' extravagant 2018 wedding day, including their first dance, which was to the song Land of 1000 Dances by Wilson Pickett.

In the trailer, pictures from their first dance flash across the screen in both colour and black and white, including one of the pair holding hands as they spread their arms open wide and smile.

Another sees Harry dip Meghan low and smile at her, while a third shows them looking quite serious with their faces close together.
