Maren Morris celebrated the first birthday of her son Hayes Andrew Hurd on Sunday (March 21).
The country star shared some pictures from a Peter Rabbit-themed celebration on Instagram. The decorations featured blue and white balloons and a sign that reads: “Welcome to Mr. McGregor’s Garden. No Rabbits Allowed.”
Along with the sweet confections, Morris had a “bomb” carrot cake from the Flour Flower Bakery for the kid.
A snap shows Hayes enjoying a piece of his carrot cake. However, Morris placed a cupcake emoji over her son’s face, continuing to refrain from sharing photos of the child on social media.
“We’re gonna keep it small, you know, just family. But I want to do a Peter Rabbit theme, because that’s the book that we read to him every night since he was a little newborn,” she had told ET at the Grammys earlier this month, while explaining the reason behind choosing a theme for the party. “So, I would like to do carrot cake and he’s gonna have a smash cake and all of the stuff, but we’ll make it cute.”
Maren and her husband Ryan Hurd welcomed Hayes, who is their first child, on March 23 of last year.
