Marvels Moon Girl & Dinosaur Renewed For Season 2 Before First Season Premieres

Exciting news out of New York Comic Con over the weekend – Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur has already been renewed for a second season!

If you didn’t know, the upcoming animated series hasn’t even premiered yet, and Disney Branded Television is greenlighting more episodes.

In addition to the season two announcement, the main title/opening sequence was unveiled, revealing a clip of the show’s theme song, “Moon Girl Magic,” performed by the show’s star Diamond White.

Based on the Marvel comics, the upcoming series follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur, whom she accidentally brings through time into present-day New York City. Equipped with Devil’s fierce loyalty and brawn, the loving support of her family and best friend Casey, Lunella sets out to make a difference and protect her Lower East Side neighborhood from danger.

Diamond stars as the voice of Lunella/Moon Girl, as well as Fred Tatasciore as Devil Dinosaur; Alfre Woodard as Lunella’s grandmother, Mimi; Libe Barer as Lunella’s best friend and manager, Casey; Sasheer Zamata as Lunella’s mom, Adria; Jermaine Fowler as Lunella’s dad, James Jr.; Gary Anthony Williams as Lunella’s grandfather, Pops; and Laurence Fishburne in the recurring role of The Beyonder, a curious and mischievous trickster.

Laurence is also an executive producer.

Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is set to premiere on February 10th on Disney Channel, with the soundtrack out that day as well.
