Matt Hancock, 44, is set to receive the support of his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo, 45, as she is said to be jetting to Australia to support her partner while he takes part in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

It is thought that Gina is flying to the country so that she can greet him when he departs from the jungle.

As reported by the Daily Star, insiders have claimed that Gina will land within in the next week so they can be reunited when he leaves the camp.

Gina previously worked as Matt Hancock’s aide when he was Health Secretary

Then, in June 2021, the pair resigned from their roles when their affair was exposed in leaked CCTV footage.

The images, first published by The Sun, sparked uproar as the pair kissing was in breach of social distancing rules during the Covid pandemic.

The incident also sparked the end of Matt’s 15-year marriage to his wife, Martha, with whom he shares three children.

Gina has also separated from her husband, Oliver Tress, the owner of Oliver Bonas, with whom she also shares three children.

Earlier this year, Matt told the world that he is “deeply in love” with Gina, after knowing each other for years since meeting at Oxford University.

Speaking to Steven Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast, the politician said: “I’ve known Gina for more than half of my life.

“We first actually worked together on student radio back in the Oxford days. And so, we spent a lot of time together, ironically, trying to get me to be able to communicate in a more emotionally intelligent way.

“And we fell in love. And that’s something that was completely outside of my control. And of course, I regret the pain that that’s caused and the very, very, very public nature.

“Anybody who’s been through this knows how difficult it is, how painful it is doing that in public is incredibly painful, but I fell in love with someone.”

Matt’s decision to join celebrities in the jungle has not gone down well with his fellow Conservative members.

The West Suffolk MP was suspended as an MP after the Tory chief whip said Matt’s addition to the show was “serious enough” to warrant suspension.

As well as starring in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Matt also joined the line-up for next year’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! begins Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
