Piers Morgan, 57, could not contain his amusement as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex became the latest inspiration for an episode of South Park. The cartoon, entitled The Worldwide Privacy Tour, aired in the US on Wednesday and sees the “Prince of Canada” trying to escape the limelight with his wife.
After it was aired, Piers shared a clip on Twitter and said he thought the scenes were “brilliant”.
He wrote in view of his 8.3 million followers: “The South Park rinsing of Meghan and Harry is lethally brilliant.
“Suspect this is how most Americans now feel about them.”
The clip features a fictional chat show called Good Morning Canada.
The couple enter the stage holding placards that read: “We want our privacy!” and: “Stop looking at us!” whilst the talk show host introduces a copy of the prince’s book, titled Waaagh.
The book cover strongly resembles that of Harry’s controversial memoir Spare.
In the cartoon, the host asks whether, in reporting on the royal family for his new book, the prince has now become a journalist, despite suggesting in the episode that he hated them.
The princess interjects, saying: “We just want to be normal people – all this attention is so hard.”
The host then counters this statement, proposing that the prince and his wife do not want privacy.
The prince and princess then storm off the set before moving to South Park and main character, Kyle, is dismayed when the characters, dubbed the “dumb prince and his stupid wife”, have moved into the home opposite his house.
The episode will air in the UK tonight (Thursday) at 10pm on Comedy Central.
As is often the case with Piers’ tweets, his sentiment divided many viewers.

Many were also amused by the clip, including Loulabelle who exclaimed: “I absolutely love this!!!”
And ShelteredStasis said: “That’s just pure truth. Hahaha, Ahhhh…carnt beat South Park.” (sic)
Others disagreed, like FPLTevez who said: “Most Americans or you specifically?”
And Kaine pointed out: “You going to tweet about the episode with Will and Kate???”
Prince William and Kate Middleton were parodied in a 2011 episode of the series.
Entitled Royal Pudding, it spoofed their wedding as the “Prince and Princess of Canada”.
In the episode, which aired 11 days after Kate and William’s actual wedding, the princess was kidnapped at the altar before the couple could exchange vows, prompting a nationwide rescue mission.
