Meghan Markle’s friend Gayle King has claimed the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t spoken to any of the Royal Family after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan, 39, opened up about her time as a senior member in the Royal Family during the two-hour long interview alongside her husband Prince Harry, 36.

And now, after claiming a member of the Royal Family shared “concerns” over the colour of her son Archie’s skin, Meghan is said to have not spoken to anyone from the firm since.

Meghan’s friend Gayle King gave an update on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the interview caught the attention of the world.

Speaking about Meghan on her CBS programme This Morning on Tuesday 16 March, 66 year old Gayle said: “No one in the royal family has talked to Meghan yet, at this particular time.

“And, I think it's frustrating for them to see that it's a racial conversation about the Royal Family when all they wanted all along was for the Royals to intervene and tell the press to stop with the unfair, inaccurate, false stories that definitely have a racial slant.

“And until you can acknowledge that, I think it's going to be hard to move forward. But they both want to move forward with this and they want healing in this family. At the end of the day, that is Harry’s family.”

Meanwhile, Gayle also claimed that Prince Harry has spoke to Prince Charles and Prince William, but not much progress was made in the talks.

She explained: “Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father, too. The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive.

“But they are glad they at least started a conversation. And I think what is still upsetting to them is that the Palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately but yet they release these false stories that are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan still.”

Gail later added that Meghan “has documents to back up everything she said” during the interview with Oprah, including claims that she was refused help by the institution after she revealed she was struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment when contacted by OK! online.

It comes after Meghan’s close friend Janina Gavankar says she and Prince Harry “feel free” after the interview.

Speaking on This Morning via video link 40 year old actress Janina said: “I think they are feeling free. It’s nice to see them feel free and now they can get back to what they really were focussed on.”
