Mick shared some beautiful clips showing the group over the years to commemorate his late bandmate, who died aged 80, in view of his 2.6 Instagram million followers.
Alongside the photos, The Rolling Stones’ hit song Till The Next Goodbye played, while he captioned the post: “Thinking of Charlie today.”
Over the montage, Mick said: “I miss Charlie because he had a great sense of humour and outside of the band we used to hang out quite a lot and have interesting times.
“We liked sports, we would go to football, we would go to cricket games and we would have other interests apart from just music. Of course, I really miss Charlie so much.”
Many social media users took to the post’s comments to share their support and remember the musician.
Kiwis_e92 said: “Keep on Rockin in Heaven.”
Curlyshirl2020 added: “Beautiful choice of song for a beautiful man, inside and out. Sorely missed, thoughts are with you and all his family.”
Creelmanellie commented: “So sorry for your loss. Losing a good friend is like losing a piece of your heart. Treasure your memories.”

Charlie died peacefully surrounded by family and friends in a London hospital on August 24 last year, according to his publicist, Bernard Doherty.
A statement released at the time read: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlie Watts.
“He passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family.
“Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather and also as a member of The Rolling Stones one of the greatest drummers of his generation.
“We kindly request that the privacy of his family, band members and close friends is respected at this difficult time.”
Before his death, Charlie had to pull out of a planned, 13-stop tour around the US due to a medical procedure that was never publicly specified.
A spokesperson said of the cancellation: “Charlie has had a procedure which was completely successful, but I gather his doctors this week concluded that he now needs proper rest and recuperation.
“With rehearsals starting in a couple of weeks it’s very disappointing to say the least, but it’s also fair to say no one saw this coming.”
Mick also took to Instagram in June to remember Charlie on what would have been his 81st birthday.
He wrote: “Happy Birthday Charlie. We miss you.”
The star shared a black and white snap of himself hugging the drummer from behind during a performance.
In the throwback snap, Mick wore a white vest and had his eyes outlined in black makeup.
Smiling, Charlie affectionately leant into the singer as he sat behind the drums.
