Mollie King shares loving tribute to England cricketer fiancé Stuart Broad as he retires

Mollie King has shared an adorable tribute to her cricketer fiancé Stuart Broad as he announced his retirement from the sport.

The presenter and former The Saturdays star, 36, got engaged to England cricketer Stuart, 37, in 2021 and the couple share a daughter called Annabella together, who was born last year.

England bowler Stuart has announced he will retire from Test cricket following the Ashes.

He made the announcement at stumps on day three of the final Test against Australia at the Kia Oval.

Taking to Instagram, Mollie has shared how she and their daughter would be watching him as he takes on his final match.

Mollie shared a photo of her fiance in his cricket gear, as she shared a sweet message saying how proud she is of him.

The star wrote: “What a moment @stuartbroad – your last test! My darling, you’ve brought joy to so many cricketing fans all over the world, and especially to your family.

“We have loved every single minute of cheering you on and we’re so incredibly proud of you. Watching you live out your dream has been something I will never forget.

“Annabella and I will be cheering you and the team on today, as always. We love you so much.”

Despite only being a few months old, baby Annabella has already been a regular spectator at her dad’s matches, with Mollie sharing an adorable black-and-white snap of the pair watching a match together earlier this month.

In the caption, Mollie wrote: “Nothing made me happier than taking Annabella to Lords Cricket ground this week to see her Daddy do what he does best.

"She was truly loving it, although I’m not sure how much cricket she watched [laughing emoji] A special memory [white heart emoji]".

In November last year the family were hit with tragedy when Mollie’s beloved dad died from a brain tumour just days after the birth of her and Stuart’s first child.

However, in a post to fans, Mollie revealed how glad she was that her dad got to hold his granddaughter in his final few days.

At the time, Mollie wrote to fans: "Heartbroken beyond words. In August, my family’s world was shattered when my Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

"Last week, we had to face the day we hoped would never come and say goodbye. Dad, we love you with all our hearts and we will miss you every single day.

"You have been our hero and it’s impossible to think of our lives without you.

"You have always been there for us with every step we’ve taken and you even held on a few extra days to meet baby Annabella.

"You gave us your everything. You will be in our hearts and our memories every single day."
