Molly Rainford’s famous dad, former Chelmsford City footballer Dave Rainford, issued the warning before the talented star had even entered the competition, but has reiterated that romance is definitely off the cards now that the blonde beauty has reached the final.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of her first Strictly performance, she said: “I’m only 21, so I’m not looking for a relationship on Strictly.

“That’s not in the picture right now. I want to focus on my career.”

“My parents don’t want me to be distracted or worrying about boys just yet. I’m single and don’t plan on changing it.”

Although she promised her parents she would stay happily single, rumours have been swirling that Molly is getting very close to another professional dancer in the competition.

The CBBC actress and singer is currently paired with Carlos Gu, who she shares a close relationship with, but rumours previously claimed that she was forming a bond with fellow pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin.

The rumours first surfaced when the pair were seen enjoying time together at the National Television Awards.

The pair reportedly looked like they were “joined at the hip” at the star-studded after party.

Nikita and Molly added even more fuel to the fire when they left the party together at 1am.

Although the couple left at the same time using separate Ubers, many speculated about their seemingly close friendship.

A source claimed that Molly was overheard speaking to Nikita about where they were off to.

Observing the couple, the source claimed to the Mirror: “[They] spent time together with some of their Strictly co-stars but they seemed to only have eyes for each other.”

Adding: “They kept staring at each other and were being very tactile.”

A second source also claimed that the pair had bonded over the past few months whilst performing on the show.

They said: “It’s early days but they have grown close over the past month performing on Strictly and at the NTAs they had a chance to let their hair down.”

However, Molly has since ruled out any romance between her and any of the hunky professional dancers on the hit BBC show.

Speaking to the MailOnline, she said: “It’s so funny because everyone gets asked, ‘Oh, what’s the gossip? Who doesn’t get on?’

“I say, ‘Honestly, it’s everything they say about the Strictly family, we all get on really well’.

“I just think it’s so random. I love how people try to find it when it’s not happening, it’s quite funny.

“I think maybe because we get on so well, they mistake it for something else but it’s genuinely that everyone is really, really good friends.”
