More Details Emerge Surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s Brother Jansen’s Death As His Girlfriend Posts Heartbreaking Tribute

More details have emerged regarding Jansen Panettiere’s death.

We sadly reported earlier this week that Hayden Panettiere’s little brother was found dead in his New York apartment Sunday, but beyond that, details were slim. Now, more information has emerged.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the 28-year-old’s friends became concerned for Jansen’s status after he missed a scheduled business meeting Sunday. Because he failed to show up, they conducted a welfare check of their own, and discovered a traumatic site that will likely stay with them forever: Jansen, unresponsive, sitting upright in a chair. According to the report, the concerned friends immediately called 911 and attempted CPR, but sadly, to no avail.

The Robots voice actor’s father, Skip Panettiere, told law enforcement that he spoke with Jansen a day before his death on Saturday, and he seemed “okay.” As of now, his exact cause of death remains unclear, and the results from his autopsy and toxicology report won’t be available for several weeks, according to TMZ.

The same day as Jansen’s unfortunate passing, Catherine Michie, a woman The U.S. Sun describes as the Even Stevens alum’s on/off girlfriend, remembered him fondly in an emotional Instagram post:

“Jansen, I met you only a year ago, but you have been my best friend and biggest fan. I will never forget the first time I saw your face and the first things you said to me. Words cannot express the pain of knowing I won’t hear your laugh again. I hope you find peace, and I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me most. The world is better because you were in it. I know we will paint together again someday. I’ll always be your sugarpop. Someone wake me up and tell me this is a dream. Love you, Bubbles”

So, so sad. Our hearts are with her right now. See the full post (below):

Jansen was born in 1994 in Palisades, New York, and went on to trail behind his older sister in a Hollywood career, before settling into a career as an artist in more recent years. The two worked on three films together, including 2004’s Tiger Cruise, 2005’s Racing Stripes, and 2012’s The Forger. They spoke about their sibling relationship with TV Guide in 2007, with Jansen telling the Heroes actress it was “an inspiration” to have a sister like her.

As of now, she has not officially commented on the tragedy, but was seemingly close as she appeared numerous times on his IG account, as well as several of his works of art. See (below):
