More heartbreak for Kelsey Parker as her beloved Grandad dies: ‘I know you’re up there with Tom’

Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted star Tom Parker, has had more heartbreak as she announced her beloved grandfather has passed away just weeks before the end of a tragic year for the mum-of-two.

Taking to Instagram, the actress and documentarian shared the tragic news, posting some photos of her grandfather.

Kelsey, 32, wrote: " I’m very sad to share that we lost my beloved Grandad 2.12.22. Peter Morris. My Grandad. My hero.

"He was like a Dad to me and raised me and my brother Sammy as his own. He set us on the right path with his knowledge of life and I am forever grateful to him.

She continued: "The funniest, wittiest, caring man known. He was so proud of his family. A dedicated family man who was always there when you needed him.

"My Grandad had the most infectious laugh and it makes me smile when I think of it now. My babies adored their Great Grandad Peter and he adored them.

"Grandad, thank you for being you and being my biggest supporter ever. I will miss your stories, your lectures on life, your cycling stories and your pure wind up self!

"I know you’re up there now with Tom and your boy Neil having a glass of red. This isn’t goodbye, just good night. Ta lah."

Friends and fans alike were quick to comment, sharing their condolences, with TV star Jess Wright leading the way and writing: "Sending lots of love", which she followed with three heart emojis.

Another comment read: "I'm so sorry to hear of another loss in your life. I lost my father a few months ago and my niece some years ago to exactly the same cancer as Tom. I really can have empathy with you."

And a third Instagram user wrote: "Sending you and your family so much love and healing during this time."

While fourth added: "So sorry for the loss of your grandad.. sending love & strength to you & your family…"

Kelsey's husband Tom sadly passed away in March of 2022 after a long battle against an inoperable brain tumour that he was diagnosed with in 2020.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain recently ,she opened up about her feelings of guilt over experiencing things he no longer can.

Kelsey said: "With grief, you can feel so many different emotions all at one time.

"So you can be happy, you can be sad, you can be angry, you can be obviously there's guilt, there are so many different elements to grief that you just don't even understand until it actually happens to you.”

Further opening up about the guilt she feels, Kelsey said: “There's massive, there's so much guilt. And that's what is a thing through the show that I've just got a lot of guilt for. I know that I did everything for Tom. But I don't know even still there is just that guilt process of I've lost him.”

“I look at my kids every morning. And I'm like, I'm guilty, that he's not experiencing what I'm experiencing with them.

“And he would want me to be happy. And that's it, isn't it, that's all I can do. He's not coming back, he has died. And it is just me and my beautiful children left behind," the star added.
