Mumford & Sons have announced that they will be releasing a limited vinyl edition of their highly acclaimed second album Babel to mark the record’s tenth anniversary.
The album, originally released in Autumn 2012, climbed to the top of the charts in both the U.K. and U.S. and has sold millions of copies around the globe. The record bagged the Album of the Year Grammy Award in 2013. It also earned Mumford & Sons the British Group award at the BRIT Awards.
In addition, Babel won the Juno Award for International Album of the Year and was also included in Q Magazine‘s list of the 50 Greatest Albums of 2012.
The album has racked up multi-platinum sales all over the world including quadruple platinum in the U.K. and a similar quadruple platinum yield in the U.S.
The record has some of the band’s biggest hits to date, including “Lover of the Light,” “Hopeless Wanderer” and “I Will Wait.”
The re-release will feature new artwork shot at the same time as the original album cover by Marcus Haney.
