Nadia Sawalha, 57, agreed with a fan who claimed her Loose Women co-star Alison Hammond was “robbed” at the National Television Awards 2022 on Thursday. The EastEnders actress reposted in view of her 521,000 Instagram followers a Story by a viewer who appeared less-than-impressed with the NTAs’ results.
Nadia, who was forced to pull out of the event due to sickness, appeared to react as This Morning beat Loose Women to the Best Daytime award.
Instagram user Themichellepenny shared a video from 2020 of Nadia looking disappointed and mouthing “every f***ing year”.
They added: “Because Nadia Sawalha is too sick to be there in person to say it.”
Nadia reposted the clip on her Story and added: “You took the words right out of my mouth.”
She then wrote: “Also someone needs to dial 999 because Alison Hammond was robbed.”
Alison was beaten Ant and Dec, who won the Best Presenter award for the 21st year in a row.
Nadia has not shied from voicing her opinion on the NTAs as she showed her commitment to Loose Women by calling on fans to vote for the show.
She urged her fans to vote for the ITV show, while snubbing This Morning, in a bid to take the accolade from their rivals.
Nadia took to Instagram to post a video of herself in a last minute bid for Loose Women as she pleaded with her thousands of followers to vote.
She said: “Morning everybody. Yes, it’s miserable Cinderella not going to the NTAs tonight. But do you know what?
“It would be really bl**dy nice if we won. Come on.”
Nadia then snubbed the usual winners of the best daytime show category, This Morning, hosted mainly by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Taking aim at the show, she continued: “Every year it’s the same winners.
“I’ll probably get in trouble with ITV for saying that!
“But you know it’s true, isn’t it? Wouldn’t it be nice to see all the girls running up there?
The panellist continued: “Honestly though, I’m going to be so b****y depressed if I’m sat here not there and they win.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to see the girls lifting the trophy? Maybe they’ll be a bit naughty on the stage.
“Come on, let’s mix it up a bit. Let’s have something different going on at the NTAs today. Go on!”
Loose Women were up against The Chase, The Repair Shop and This Morning for the best daytime show.
Phil and Holly previously have been voted for several presenter awards and are usually staples in the list of nominations for TV Presenter.
