Neil Young has confirmed through a message on his website that he is currently working on a new album with Crazy Horse.
“I have five songs ready for the next album. So I think over time the rest will come and we may start recording again soon,” Young wrote on his personal website Neil Young Archives.
Young had previously collaborated with Crazy Horse on Colorado in 2019, and Americana and Psychedelic Pill in 2012.
The new album will be Young’s first since he struck a multi-million-dollar deal to sell 50% of his song catalog to Hipgnosis Songs, the company founded by Merck Mercuriadis.
The Canadian rock legend, who said his debut science fiction novel, “Canary,” is on the way, has also stated that he is not planning to lock in tour dates “until I am sure the audience is safe.”
