Janette Manrara, 37, has opened up to her fans about the sacrifice which comes with her role on Strictly Come Dancing. The It Takes Two host spoke about how she’ll “never get used to” not seeing her family often as a result of the show.
Janette shared an emotional update on Instagram earlier today as she posted a birthday message to her family.
The presenter wished her grandparents a happy day as she admitted she was “missing home”.
The professional dancer shared a picture of her relatives surrounded by balloons with her 459,000 followers.
Alongside it, she penned: “Missing home and missing moments like this….
“My grandparents celebrating their birthday.”
Janette went on to admit that her career is not all “glitz and glam” in a candid admission,
She added: “When people see the glitz and glam that comes w/ what I do… yes, it is a ‘fab-u-lous’ career and I am forever grateful for all of my success and wonderful opportunities….
“But it does not come w/o sacrifice.
“Being away from my family will be something that I NEVER will get use to. (sic)
“Grateful to at least have the technology to see them, chat w/ them, and still find ways to be a part of their lives.”
Following her emotional update, the Strictly star was inundated with support.
Her friend Ashley Roberts sent her a love heart and praying emoji.
While many of Janette’s fans also reached out to her.

Janette swapped the Strictly dance floor for the spin-off It Takes Two earlier this year.
She hosts the nightly show with Rylan Clark on BBC Two.
