Opening up about her nuptials to the film producer, ‘The White Lotus’ star spills the real reason why she and her husband deliberately pick the Preservation Hall for their New Orleans ceremony.
AceShowbiz –Alexandra Daddario is sharing with the world details about a very special day in her life. After officially tying the knot with Andrew Form in New Orleans, the “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” actress opened up in a new interview about her “laid-back aesthetic” wedding and shared photos from the romantic ceremony.
As she talked about memorable details from the joyous occasion with Vogue, the 36-year-old actress explained why she and her husband chose to book New Orleans Preservation Hall for their wedding ceremony. “We were trying to achieve a laid-back aesthetic,” she reasoned. “We loved the look of Preservation Hall.”
“The White Lotus” star further explained that the vintage-style look of the building was what made it so attractive to her and Andrew. “It was so old, so historic; it lets its age and ‘flaws’ show. That’s what makes it so beautiful,” she said, before adding, “We wanted it to be about music, drinking, and authentic New Orleans.”
Alexandra also made use of her Instagram account to share sweet pictures from her wedding. In one of the snaps she posted, the “San Andreas” actress could be seen sharing a sweet kiss with Andrew. She was donning a Danielle Frankel’s silk wool bridal gown whereas her husband opted for a pinstripe suit from Brunello Cucinelli.
“I fell in love with Danielle Frankel’s dresses. I followed them on Instagram,” Alexandra told Vogue why she chose the dress. “They sent me a message, and we chatted, and when I went to their studio, I just felt beautiful in everything. I chose my dress because it felt like it belonged in New Orleans and was the right choice for the Louisiana heat.”
“The Layover” actress went on explaining her husband’s choice of outfit. “I am constantly stealing his button-downs to wear with jeans, and they are always Brunello. He ultimately chose a beautiful, not-too-serious suit that worked for a New Orleans wedding in the middle of June,” she said.
Alexandra then admitted that they had to hire a wedding planner. “Michelle Norwood was incredible and pushed us when we were too distracted by life and work,” she said.”I planned a lot of the wedding from set, or from bed after a night shoot. Michelle was wonderful and made sure Andrew and I had everything we needed on a very tight schedule.”
Before picking New Orleans for their nuptials, Alexandra and Andrew originally planned to get married in Italy. “We were originally going to get married in Italy because I wanted to drink Italian wine for three days straight. But when I got a job in New Orleans I thought of Allie and Jake, and we switched it to New Orleans. It’s a city full of music and life,” the “Baywatch” actress said.
