The Jonas Brothers have been constantly saying “soon” when asked about new music.
The trio – Nick, Joe and Kevin – have not released an album since their comeback Happiness Begins in 2019, and have only dropped singles and collabs since.
Just a couple weeks ago, they shared a new photo, captioning it, “Making the new album.” Joe then commented, “You mean finished the album.”
With fans anxiously awaiting new music, Nick just dished on working with someone new – Jon Bellion.
See what he said inside…
“[We’re] definitely going in a newer direction; we’ve been finding the right people to work with on a sound that feels age-appropriate for where we’re at now, like Jon Bellion for example,” Nick told Man About Town. “It’s cool because he’s on the same path as us.”
If you don’t know, in addition to his own music, Jon has written and produced songs for Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Halsey, Camila Cabello, Ava Max, Lauv, Pentatonix, Monsta X, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5 and many more!
Joe Jonas also recently opened up about Jonas Brothers music going in a new direction.
“I don’t have a ton to say about it because we’re taking our sweet time. I don’t have a date for you. I don’t have really a musical idea of what it’ll sound like or what it won’t,” he told Popsugar. “I just can tell you that it’s a work in progress, and I encourage everyone to be patient with us as we figure this out, but we’re not going to do it like other times, where we just go silent. We’re going to continue to play music and play shows and tour. I’m really excited for people to hear it.”
