DIY SOS host Nick Knowles, 58, has questioned Gary Lineker’s reaction to England vs. Scotland’s Euro 2020 clash attracting over 20 million viewers last Friday. It comes after the Match of the Day host declared that “football delivers even when the football doesn’t deliver” after the game ended with a somewhat disappointing 0-0 result.

Gary penned in view of his 7.9 million Twitter followers: “Nearly 20 million watched the game on @itvfootball last night. Huge number again. 

“Football delivers even when the football doesn’t deliver.”

Nick then retweeted the post in view of his 158,000 followers this morning, asking why the former professional footballer was “surprised” by how many fans tuned into the match.

He wrote back alongside a crying with laughter emoji: “Why are you surprised?
