Janette Manrara, 38, has taken a well-deserved break after her hosting duties on last year’s It Takes Two. The TV star and her Strictly Come Dancing pro husband Aljaz Skorjanec, 31, visited his home country of Slovenia over the festive period.

Earlier today, Janette took to her Instagram stories to let fans know how she was getting on during her holidays.

The professional dancer admitted it felt “weird” to be abroad while receiving work emails.

Janette recorded herself as she explained she and Aljaz were getting ready to return to London in the coming days.

She said: “It feels weird, though, because most of you have gone back to work this week.

“And I’m getting emails from work as well myself, but I’m still not letting go of the holiday mode.”

Janette continued: “So, we’re here a couple more days and then we get back to London and then we start rehearsals for the tour. I can’t wait!”

Janette pointed out that she has continued to workout during her holidays and was hoping to get back to the gym tomorrow.

She concluded: “Although I also can’t wait to actually physically get moving because I didn’t go to the gym yesterday.

“Hopefully I get to sneak in a workout today and I get back to the gym tomorrow.

“But I’ve been pretty good. I’ve been going even though I’m on holiday, so that’s good.

“But yeah, still feeling in holiday mode.”

Janette and Aljaz got engaged in 2015 and tied the knot on July, 15, 2017.

Janette’s update comes after last month Aljaz confessed he was feeling “homesick”.

The Strictly star explained in an interview on Clara Amfo’s podcast This City that he had not been able to travel back to Slovenia for over two years.

During the chat, Aljaz said he was still able to enjoy Slovenian food in a restaurant he discovered after meeting two football players in an Italian restaurant and asking them if there was anywhere they went to get Slovenian food.

He said: “They serve this proper authentic Serbian Bosnian grill which takes me home.

“But, yeah, I haven’t been home for two years.

“I’m so homesick and that kind of made it up for it a little bit.”

Aljaz added: “I was just a bit gutted that I had been here for 10 years and I found that out after nine years!

“Now that I have found out I actually go every single week, I try to go every Friday.”
