Robert Webb, 48, is partnered with Dianne Buswell on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. However, the star has shared his injury struggle caused by his latest dance on the popular programme.

Robert and Dianne impressed on Saturday night’s show with their performance of the Tango.

The pair danced to La Cumparsita by Machiko Ozawa for their week two number.

They impressed the judges as they managed to score a total of 27 points.

This was a huge improvement from their previous score of 20 in Week One.

However, despite their success on the dancefloor, Robert has admitted he’s landed himself an injury.

Posting on Instagram earlier today, the actor posted about this with a hint at his next dance.

He posted an image of Kermit the Frog lying down to his 19,000 followers.

The picture featured a caption reading: “I need a day between every day to recover from the day before and prepare for the upcoming day.”

Alongside the post, he penned: “Sore heel (Achilles tendinitis) bit better after day of ice, elevation, stretching and hanging around doing nothing.

“But not really recovered.

“Brought on by tango – will not be so bad with Kermit quickstep?”

Robert then added: “Maybe ok. Let’s find out!”

The contestant has previously been open about his health struggles.

Last year, the comedian had to have sudden heart surgery after a medical exam highlighted a problem.

He’s recovered from the operation now but has previously admitted it was part of his motivation to do Strictly.

Robert told PA: “It’s partly my age and it’s partly, nearly two years ago I had quite a big deal health thing.

“I had open heart surgery, so since then I think my attitude is basically, ‘This is no time to be cool and sitting at the edges watching other people doing the dancing.’

Last week, Robert’s Peep Show co-star David Mitchell shared some insight into his “frightening” heart condition.

During an appearance on The One Show, he explained how Robert is fully recovered now.

David said: “It was very frightening because we were filming Back, the show we do for Channel 4, and he went for an insurance medical and two weeks later he had open heart surgery.

“So it was a complete shock and surprise and very serious condition which immediately needed dealing with and something that not long ago they couldn’t deal with.

“It’s amazing how surgery has progressed.

“So it was very frightening but it all went brilliantly and he’s fully recovered.”
