Multi Grammy-winning teenager Olivia Rodrigo, who is currently on her debut headlining tour, paid tribute to Gwen Stefani and her band No Doubt by performing a stunning cover of their “Just a Girl” during her concert in Philadelphia.
Wearing black boots and a white dress with a corset top, Rodrigo powered through the pop classic at The Met.
“‘Cause I’m just a girl, I’d rather not be,” she crooned. “‘Cause they won’t let me drive late at night/ Oh, I’m just a girl, guess I’m some kind of freak, ’cause they all sit and stare with their eyes/ Oh, I’m just a girl, take a good look at me, just your typical prototype.”
Before the performance, Rodrigo shared how much she admires Stefani.
“Anyone that knows me knows that I am the biggest Gwen Stefani fan in the world,” she told the crowd. “I got to talk to her for a while, and she’s just the coolest human in the world. I love her music so much and I wanted to play this song for you guys tonight.”
