Model and photographer Penny Lancaster, 50, recently appeared on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, where she settled on her husband as her specialist subject. Her other half, 76-year-old Sir Rod Stewart, is an iconic rockstar and could undoubtedly be a quiz category in his own right.

BBC One’s big money game show The Wheel sees a member of the public team up with famous faces to answer questions from a series of categories chosen by the celebrities themselves.

Contestants can stand to win tens of thousands of pounds from the programme, provided they are willing to risk losing their current jackpot.

In a recent recording of the series, Penny reportedly asked quiz host Michael McIntyre if she could answer questions on her husband Rod, according to the Daily Star.

The comedian laughed and replied: “It’s a funny one”.

Previous quiz topics have ranged from the Olympics, to superheroes, to shopping, so pretty much any option appears to be on the table.

Some high profile celebs have also helped members of the public win big, including Michael Ball, Steph McGovern, and AJ Odudu.

The Wheel is just one of many television appearances Penny has made over years.

The glamorous star has appeared as an occasional Loose Women panellist over the years, ever since 2014.

She also competed in BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef this August and made it as far as the quarter finals, losing out to Melanie Sykes and Megan McKenna.

Penny previously appeared in the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, where she was paired with professional dancer Ian Waite.

The model first met her husband Rod when he agreed to let her take photos of him whilst on tour in 1999.

The Grammy Award-winning musician is father to eight children: Sarah, Kimberly, Sean, Ruby, Renée, Liam, Alastair and Aiden.

Rod famously welcomed his first child, Sarah, with ex Susannah Boffey in 1963 in an affair he had when he was just 18, which was immortalised in the hit song Maggie May.

The couple ultimately decided to put their daughter up for adoption, and it was only decades later that the star would reconnect with his eldest child, now 57.

Rod went on to marry Alana Stewart in 1979, and the couple welcomed daughter Kimberly, 42, and Sean, 41.

Following his divorce from Alana in 1984, The Handbags and Gladrags singer then dated Kelly Emberg, who gave birth to Ruby, 34, in 1987.

Sir Rod wed Rachel Hunter in 1990, who gave him daughter Renee, 29, and son Liam, 27.

Rod finally met third wife Penny in 1999, fathered their first child in 2005, before they later went on to marry in 2007.

The pair share two sons together: 16-year-old Alistair and Aiden,10, who was born in 2011.

The Wheel returns for a new series this Saturday November 13 at 8pm on BBC One.
