Peter Frampton Shares Instrumental Cover Of George Harrison’s ‘Isn’t It A Pity’

Peter Frampton recently released his instrumental cover of George Harrison‘s classic “Isn’t it a Pity” and an accompanying video.

The video, directed by Rob Arthur, begins with footage from Frampton’s farewell tour in 2019. It also provides a glimpse of how the year 2020 went for Frampton, such as the cancellation of his European tour dates, the rocker spending time staring at the news, due to the lockdown, and how his positive outlook sees him through.

“‘Isn’t It A Pity’ from George’s album ‘All Things Must Pass’, was the track I could hear playing when I first arrived at Abbey Road to record,” Frampton said in a press release. “We have all been in the same boat for over a year now. Our video lets you into my world of lockdown and possibly yours too. I think we can all relate.”

The track is set to appear on Frampton’s forthcoming instrumental covers album, Frampton Forgets The Words, out Friday, April 23 via UMe.

The album also features instrumental covers of songs by David Bowie, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Roxy Music, Lenny Kravitz, and more.
