Phillip Schofield accused of ‘scaring’ I’m A Celebrity star

Phillip Schofield thanks fans for the support

I’m A Celebrity star Nadine Dorries detailed her interaction with Phillip Schofield and his co-host Holly Willoughby.

The Conservative MP branded Holly, 42, a “delight” as she detailed her experience on This Morning.

In her latest column for The Daily Mail today, Nadine, 65, wrote: “I’ve been interviewed by Holly and Phillip several times, and off-camera found Holly an absolute delight,” as she claimed, “Mr Schofield was rather up himself.”

She alleged: “On one occasion, I witnessed what appeared to be somewhat intimidating behaviour.

“Holly was away, and as her stand-in looked down at her script obviously wanting to see who or what was coming up next.”

Nadine claimed: “Phillip glared at her and began to jab at her script with his finger. I don’t know about her, but he scared me.”

She added: “This isn’t how women work together, so it’s no surprise that Holly and Alison absolutely smashed it and the viewers loved them.

Nadine went on to say she hoped to see “kind” Phillip when he returned to This Morning.

Phillip had taken a pre-planned leave and returned to This Morning on Monday alongside Rochelle Humes.

The 61-year-old was due to present alongside regular partner Holly but she is ill.

He said: “Holly isn’t well today so is sadly off today and perhaps a few more days with a bout of shingles. Ouch.

“So if you are watching at home, Holly, then get well soon. The whole team sends their love.

“And thank you, Rochelle, for coming to play. I wanted to say that it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show, everyone here, and also to you (the viewers).

“And I wanted to say thank you for all your kind messages and support, which were really appreciated, so thank you very much indeed. On with the show.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
