Piers Morgan, 56, doesn’t take a breather when it comes to speaking his mind and once again he launched a vicious attack on celebrities he branded “disingenuous” and only “play the victim” during interviews. It’s not clear who the former Good Morning Britain host is talking about, but it’s best to assume no one’s safe.

Just get a grip

Piers Morgan

Taking to his favourite stomping ground Twitter to share his views, Piers wrote: “Is there any danger of a celebrity giving an interview in which they don’t play the victim but actually tell us how grateful they are to be hugely successful, rich & famous?

“The ‘woe-is-me’ crap is so disingenuous and so utterly exhausting.”

He added: “Just get a grip all of you.”

As per usual, his stance caused a rift between his followers as some took his side while others remained opposed.

One who understood where he was coming from, replied: “They’re so wrapped up in their world, they’ve forgotten how real people are suffering. To be alive, have your family, a roof over your head & a job to provide for the family is what many are struggling with. Most celebrities don’t have those issues. They should reflect on life.”

Another praised him for his words: “Well said. I love how tired actors are after a long day! And it will be almost three weeks until their next year off! Go and try a factory or emergency hospital ward. Work there for 50 hours a week every week. And if you’re really lucky you’ll be able to pay your rent every month!”

A third agreed: “Totally agree, I’m sure it’s very difficult to not have privacy but it’s a lot harder to work 9-5 for £80 a day! They lose touch with reality and what life used to be like when money was a issue. How can they not be grateful?”

But others took it as an opportunity to slam the presenter, with one commenting sarcastically: “Says the guy who’s been playing the victim in every interview since storming out of GMB in a huff.”

A second referenced his ITV chat show Life Stories: “Maybe I’ve missed the point but isn’t most of your Life Stories subjects just that?”

Someone else brought up his hatred of Meghan Markle, teasing him about his “obsession” with the Duchess of Sussex.

“Lol yeah, you and your obsession with Meghan Markle,” they retorted as many agreed.

Despite his heavy criticism of the former actress, Piers has lashed out at multiple celebs over the past year or so, with everyone from Sam Smith to Idris Elba finding themselves at the tips of Piers’ warrior fingers.

But it wasn’t long after the tweet he posted on Tuesday morning, that he soon turned his attention back to his favourite targets, Prince Harry and Meghan.

After it was revealed that she was releasing a new book entitled The Bench, which is based on the special bond between fathers and sons, Piers claimed the project “would make the current shortlist for the title of World’s Most Ludicrously Inappropriate Book”.

Responding to Meghan’s announcement that her debut children’s book will follow “the warmth, joy and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life”, Piers fumed in his latest column for MailOnline: “Sorry, WHAT?

“Notwithstanding Ms Markle’s seemingly unlimited thirst for committing attention-seeking acts of gargantuan hypocrisy, this seemed beyond parody. But it was real.”

Piers then admitted he had “laughed out loud” while reading the description of the book.

He added: “I wonder how much these touching sentiments will resonate with her own family, or her husband’s?

“Lest we forget, Ms Markle has ruthlessly disowned her father Thomas and refuses to have anything to do with him despite the fact they now live just 70 miles from each other.”
