Former Love Island star and social media mogul Molly-Mae Hague has made the surprising confession that she once attempted to breastfeed herself after being concerned she wasn't producing any milk.
The 23-year-old mother-to-be – who is expecting her first child with boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury any day now – made the admission on her latest YouTube vlog as she prepared her hospital bag ahead of her daughter's birth.
"Screw it, I'm just going to say it," she smiles. "I tried to put my own nipple in my mouth! My boobs are that big now that it is actually possible. I actually tried to breastfeed off myself the other day!
"I was saying to Tommy that I'm concerned – some of my friends have been leaking milk from like 20 weeks or they at least have little drops of colostrum or there's just something coming out, like a little bit of movement there.
"But my boobs are dry! Like, there is nothing, there are no signs of anything so I thought, let me just give it a little test. And nothing happened!"
At another point in the video, the PrettyLittleThing Creative Director – who has remained silent on social media for six days, prompting speculation she has given birth already – revealed she'd planned to welcome her daughter in London.
Her colossal amount of followers quickly took to the comment section of the video, revealing that she wouldn't reveal the location she wanted to give birth in if she hadn't already gone into labour.
Packing her hospital luggage, Molly-Mae revealed she would be taking so much to the hospital with her due to the planned location of the birth, being that the star resides in the North-West with Tommy, also 23.
"I made the decision to bring a suitcase. I know I'm going to get so many comments like what on earth are you doing, you're packing too much, but I'm giving birth in London," she added. "I haven't spoken about this yet but I'm having baby girl in London.
"I'm hoping it will make sense as to why it may look like I'm packing excessively.
"We decided to have our birth there for privacy reasons and to try and make us feel the most comfortable and secure. The main reason is for privacy."
She added: "When I do the birth story if you guys have lots of questions I'm sure I can go into it a little bit more."
As well as taking the essentials to hospital – including "enough nipple pads to provide for the whole hospital" – Molly-Mae revealed she was also taking a lot of fancy toiletries with her and defended her decision.
"I know everyone will think I'm a mad woman and I'm packing really nice toiletries like I'm going on a fancy hotel, but I just want it to feel like home."
