Pregnant Shaughna Phillips gives update from hospital bed after being induced

As she eagerly awaits the arrival of her first child, Shaughna Phillips has made sure to keep her fans updated on social media.

The former Love Island star, 28, is due to give birth imminently after surpassing her due date, which was 25 March.

Shaughna headed to the hospital to be induced on Sunday, and has now told fans everything is "good" as she patiently waits for her baby to arrive.

The mum-to-be posted a snap from her hospital bed on Monday, showing a range of snacks, a hot drink and a laptop, and wrote: "So far so good…".

She has been documenting her entire pregnancy on social media and in her weekly OK! column, where she recently shared her frustration at being overdue.

Writing in her column, Shaughna explained: "I'm now overdue, and I feel like every day past your due date is worse than the whole pregnancy itself.

"I don't want to sound ungrateful and I'm very lucky to pregnant and have a healthy baby, but I just want to meet it at this point.

She added: "Everything hurts. I can't remember the last time I had a good sleep. I can't sit in bed and be comfortable because I've either got heartburn or my hips hurt. There is something that's just refusing to let me just relax."

The 28 year old detailed a scary dash to the hospital and how she's been suffering with heartburn and feeling dizzy over recent weeks.

Shaughna also shared her frustration over her friends' constant text messages asking if she's given birth yet, and revealed she's began ignoring texts from her pals.

She said: "So many people text me every single day asking if I've had the baby yet and I just literally want to tell them to go away."

"They'll say: 'Oh, my God, it's dragging now,' and i want to reply: 'Is it is it dragging? Is it really hard for you?'

"I just don't reply to them now," she added.

Shaughna announced she was pregnant with her first child in October 2022. She fell pregnant just two months after coming off the pill last summer, and described the moment she saw the positive test as an "out-of-body experience".

The TV star has also opted not to find out the gender of her baby, choosing to keep it a surprise.
