Prince Harry is “frightened” of wifeMeghan Markle, a royal author has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, seems “very nervous” around the 41 year old Duchess, Angela Levin said.
Harry and Meghan met in July 2016 and theytied the knot two years later at Windsor Castle. However, the couplestepped back from royal life in 2020 after struggling with the intense scrutiny that came with being senior members of The Firm – eventually settling inMontecito, California with their two children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.
Ms Levin, author of biographies on Harry and Queen Consort Camilla, said it was well known that Meghan was “delightful” unless you said the wrong thing – at which point she became “really scary”.
Speaking toGB News, she added: “I think he (Harry) is frightened of her because of the way he looks at her. He doesn’t want to say something if she wants to speak.
“If she wants to talk to someone before him then he steps back. He is very nervous. I think she commands it all because this is not the Harry he was a few years ago.
She added: “He said himself, ‘what Meghan wants, Meghan gets’.”
Ms Levin went on to say it was a “tragedy” because the Duke lets the Duchess “say and do things” that anyone else would say were wrong.
It comes asSarah Ferguson appeared to takea subtle swipe at Harry and Meghan as she appeared on US TV to promote her upcoming romance novel, A Most Intriguing Lady.
During an interview with Fox 5 New York presenter Rosanna Scotto, the Duchess of York, commonly known as Fergie, discussed the importance of "family unity."
Rosanna asked: "Do you think [King Charles] is upset with the book that Harry wrote? I know that reports that Harry and Meghan are invited to the Coronation and he must, as a parent, feel a little scarred by what was said in the book."
Fergie, 63, replied: "Personally, I feel there should be no judgement on any level.
"Family unity is very important. In life, it's the three C's: communicate, compromise, compassion."
Elsewhere this week, Fergiediscussed Harry and Meghan’s marriage with the PA news agency as she reflected on her divorce fromPrince Andrew in 1996.
She said: "I divorced, went to America, wrote a book, went on Oprah and did 12 years as the longest-running spokesperson of Weight Watchers.
"I looked to America to support me and to help me and I really can’t thank the American people enough for what they gave me and what they did for me.”
She added: “So, I believe very strongly that I have absolutely no judgement on any other person’s life, and I look at how much she (Meghan) loves him (Harry) and loves the children and gives him a love that he’s never had before.”
While featuring on The Kelly Clarkson Show recently, Fergie also recalled the latePrincess Diana’s hen-do and revealedthe pair of them got arrested while dressed as police officers for the night out.
