Prince Harry mocked as Meghan Markle reveals his affectionate nickname

While they may be royalty, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have affectionate nicknames for one another much like most couples.

The pair have worked hard to keep their life behind closed doors, but when Prince Harry appeared on an episode of the Late Late Show with James Corden, Meghan accidentally let slip an intimate detail about their private life.

As James, 43, and Harry, 37, took an open top bus tour of the city in California during the segment, during which the TV host stole the royal's phone to call his 40 year old other half.

Meghan, who have a favourite room in their mansion in the US, then asked her husband: "Haz, how is your tour of LA going?" – unveiling his cute nickname.

The revelation tickled James pink as he later exclaimed: "Haz! I didn't know we were calling you Haz!"

To which Harry, who recently shared he "needs to meditate every day after burning out", immediately hit back: "Well you aren't my wife."

This isn't the only pet name she has for her other half though as later in the year the Duchess of Sussex appeared on The Ellen Show, where she discussed the bond between Harry and their children Archie, two, and baby Lilibet, and called Harry 'H'.

She said: "He [Archie] loves being a big brother. Everyone tells you, someone told H and I you have one kid as a hobby, two children is parenting."

It comes after Prince Harry recently shared rare insight into his children Archie and Lilibet's routine at home in their California mansion.

The royal opened up about it while appearing in a live stream with close pal Serena Williams and the founder of mental health start up BetterUp, Alexi Robichaux, on Thursday 3 February to talk about "mental fitness".

During their discussions, Harry shared how he has previously "experienced burnout" and feels he must meditate every day now.

Speaking about the topic of "self care", Harry shared some private knowledge on his family's routine, including his baby daughter's naps and his son Archie having started school already.

He told the tennis star and start up founder: "Even if you do have 15 minutes slate of white space, I now put in about half an hour or 45 minutes in the morning when I'm like, 'okay, one of the kids has gone to school, the other one is taking a nap' there's a break in our programme."
