After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey sent shockwaves around the world, Prince William is said to be "very upset" in the aftermath.

The dad-of-three, who made his first public appearance with Kate Middleton since the interview, is reportedly "still raw" over Harry's comments and misses his brother after he left for California a year ago.

A former Palace aide told The Sunday Times: "Once he got over the anger of how things happened, he was left with the absence of his brother.

“They shared everything about their lives, an office, a foundation, meetings together most days and there was a lot of fun along the way. He’ll miss it for ever.”

Meanwhile, a close friend of the pair said William, 38, "definitely feels the pressure now it’s all on him — his future look different because of his brother’s choices, it’s not easy."

Another pal added: "It’s still raw. He’s very upset by what’s happened, though absolutely intent that he and Harry’s relationship will heal in time."

OK! Online have contacted Prince William's representative for a comment.

A source said the Royal brothers went for a long walk together after the "Sandringham Summit" but the pair did not part on friendly terms.

They revealed: "That was it for William, he felt they’d blindsided the Queen in such an insulting and disrespectful way."

William and brother Harry, 36, reportedly spoke for the first time following the interview but the chat was said to be "unproductive".

The Duchess of Sussex's pal Gayle King said she spoke with Prince Harry over the weekend of 13-14 March and he told her about the conversation.

Speaking on CBS This Morning, Gayle, 66, explained: "Well, I did actually call them to see how they are feeling, it's true, Harry has talked to his brother and his father, too.

"The word I was given was, those conversations were not productive. But they are glad they at least started a conversation."

Last week Prince William broke his silence on his brother's interview and addressed their claims on racism in the Royal Family.

At a royal engagement on Thursday 11 March, a reporter asked him: "Can you just let me know, is the Royal family a racist family?"

To which he responded: ""We are very much not a racist family."
