Princess Beatrice looks down as she is supported by husband Edoardo at Queen’s funeral

Granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Beatrice has been spotted looking sad as she attended the funeral of the Queen.

Beatrice, 34, was dressed in a black dress ahead of the service to say goodbye to her grandmother. Her long hair was styled in loose curls as she looked down to the ground on September 19.

As the royals took their seats in Westminster Abbey, the service began with a hymn, and mum of one Beatrice was seen singing with her partner Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38.

Beatrice and Edoardo sat with Prince Harry, 38, and his wife Meghan Markle, 41, after walking into Westminster Abbey.

The emotional scenes come after the Queen’s funeral began earlier this morning with a moving procession led byKing Charles and his siblings,Prince Andrew,Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's father Prince Andrew looked upset with Prince Harry behind him, as he was seen trying hard not to cry.

As the nation, and the world, continues to mourn the death of Britain’s longest-serving monarch, recent days have been an understandably emotional time for the royals.

While the doors of Westminster Abbey opened at 8am to welcome guests from across the globe, the royals began paying their respects at 10.35am as they travelled with Her Majesty’s coffin from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey.

Princes William andHarry put their differences aside to walk behind the coffin alongside their cousin Peter Phillips.

Other members of the family including theQueen Consort Camilla, Princess of WalesKate Middleton and Duchess of SussexMeghan Markle travelled in cars behind.

Following the news of the Queen’s death on 8 September, Beatrice joined her sisterEugenie where theyattended a church service and surveyed the thousands of tributes laid in honour of the Queen at Balmoral in Scotland.

To mark Her Majesty’s passing, Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also shared his feelings for the late monarch with a post on Instagram.

He wrote: “Incredibly hard to process the last 24 hours. What an incredible woman and extraordinary mark she’s left on the entire world.

“She was the rock on which modern Britain was built.

"Feeling very lucky that our little ones got to spend wonderful time with her this summer."

Edoardo added: "Rest is [sic] Peace Your Majesty. We will miss you so much. Brokenhearted.”
