The hip-hop record producer doesn’t want anyone to touch him amid the rise of monkeypox case in the United States since the start of the outbreak in the country in May, calling it ‘scary.’

AceShowbiz -Pierre “Pee” Thomas is urging everyone to take precautionary measures amid monkeypox fear. Finding the disease “scary,” the Quality Control CEO has told people not to touch him after the number of the case in the states has risen within the past few days.

Making use of her Twitter account, the hip-hop record producer tried to raise awareness of the disease. He implored, “Let’s normalize ‘No handshaking, no dapping’ when we see each other. Just speaking only.”

“This monkey pox s**t is scary,” he admitted, before warning everyone, “especially for people who got to go back home with their kids every day from being out in the field.” He said, Be careful everyone. This s**t getting real.”

Agreeing with Pee, one person wrote, “I agree dont touch me.” Another approved of Pee’s idea as saying, “Facts!! We don’t even have to speak just nod !!” A third similarly implored, “Head nods only cause COVID and hand herpes.”

Meanwhile, human rights lawyer Leni Robredo warned people,” monkeypox carries an isolation period of 3-4 weeks and that is obviously more sick days than most workers get per year. so this is going to be very very bad.”

The first monkeypox case in the United States during the 2022 outbreak was reported in May. As of Wednesday afternoon, August 3, a total of 6,617 cases have been reported from all over the country, with New York having the most cases so far (1,666).

According to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Monkeypox is a rare but potentially serious viral illness that usually begins with flulike symptoms and swelling of the lymph nodes which progresses to a rash on the face and body. Officials said most infections last two to four weeks.

Densely populated cities and areas like Los Angeles and New York have already declared a state of emergency, but the government has not announced a set of restrictions as what happened during the COVID-19 outbreak.
