TheQueen Consort has hosted Queen Rania of Jordan and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark ahead of a reception at Buckingham Palace.
Camilla, 75, cut an elegant figure in a blue dress when appearing in a photograph alongside the two otherroyal women atClarence House on Monday.
Rania, 52, was equally sophisticated in a teal outfit with gem encrusted cuffs while Australian-born Mary, 50, looked graceful in a monochrome check skirt and black blouse.
The Queen of Jordan shared the photograph of their meeting to her Instagram page.
The caption alongside it read: “A lovely afternoon with Her Majesty Queen Consort Camilla and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.”
The Queen Consort hosted the royal pair ahead of a major reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday evening to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.
Camilla will make what is expected to be a powerful and personal speech at the event, attended by survivors and their families.
The reception, being held as part of the United Nations’ 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, will also be attended by the other queens.
Queen Rania and the Crown Princess Mary, who is married to the heir to the Danish throne, Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik, are both due to be present at the event – along with Queen Mathilde of Belgium.
The Countess of Wessex will also be among around 300 attendees, as well as politicians and charity representatives from SafeLives, Women’s Aid and Refuge.
Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, who was made an MBE for her work with domestic violence charity Women’s Aid, and reality TV star Zara McDermott – who has spoken previously of her efforts to end the scourge of “revenge porn” – are also due to be there.
A source said Camilla will speak about what she has learned from her work in the area of domestic abuse – that survivors want to be heard and believed.
Camilla is expected to speak about prevention and a determination to achieve the goal of ending domestic violence for good.
Last month, in what could be seen as an indication of how important the issue is to Camilla, she used her first solo engagement in her new royal title to meet domestic abuse workers at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Some of Camilla’s Queen’s companions – who were announced at the weekend – will appear publicly with her for the first time at the reception.
Buckingham Palace has said the she will have six Queen’s companions, not traditional ladies-in-waiting, who are all trusted friends and will support her as she carries out her key official and state duties.
