The former ‘Hart of Dixie’ star previously hinted that breaking up with the ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum amid the coronavirus pandemic is ‘harder than childbirth.’
AceShowbiz –Rachel Bilson has given rare comments on her past romance with Bill Hader. When interviewing Aubrey Plaza on her “Broad Ideas” podcast, the “Hart of Dixie” alum confirmed that she dated the “Saturday Night Live” alum “two years ago.”
Rachel’s revelation, however, has surprised Aubrey. “Are you serious?” the 37-year-old exclaimed. “I don’t know s**t, I don’t know anything.” In response, the former replied, “We dated. I went to the f**king Golden Globes.”
Rachel did not offer more details about her relationship with Bill, but she previously hinted that splitting from him was not easy. When speaking to Mandy Moore in the June 6 episode of her podcast, the Summer Roberts depicter on “The O.C.” divulged that she “went through a really hard breakup and it was during the pandemic.”
“I could not leave my house, you know what I mean? I had nothing else to do but sit in it, and deal with it and feel it,” the 40-year-old, who didn’t mention any names at that time, went on sharing. “It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done, harder than childbirth.”
Rachel, who has been co-parenting daughter Briar Rose with Hayden Christensen, further argued that the fallout with the unnamed ex “hurt like a mother**ker.” Luckily, she managed to get through the hard time as she said, “If you actually face it, you can come out of it and be like, ‘OK, I did that and I’m ready for the next thing.’ “
Bill, for his part, apparently has also moved on. In January this year, it was unveiled that he has been dating Anna Kendrick for more than a year after they starred together in the Disney+ Christmas movie “Noelle“.
“Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year,” a source told PEOPLE. “They met years ago. She’s hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie… They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet. They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She’s really, really happy.”
