The film producer/director releases a statement via his representative after his former fiance claimed on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ that he was engaged to his someone new.
AceShowbiz –Randall Emmett is not engaged. The “Midnight in the Switchgrass” director has shut down his ex Lala Kent‘s claim saying he’s engaged to someone new.
“Randall is in no way, shape or form engaged,” a representative for the 51-year-old said in a statement. “Anyone who says otherwise is either making it up, ill-informed or both.”
Lala brought up the claim when appearing on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen“. When host Andy asked her, “How did you find out that Randall’s new girlfriend moved in two days after you moved out, and do you know if they’re still together?” Lala said, “They’re still together.”
“You’ll find out soon, they’re engaged,” the “Vanderpump Rules” star continued. She added, “They’ve been engaged for a while.”
Lala and Emmett welcomed their daughter Ocean in March 2021. Unfortunately, nine months later, they called off their three-year engagement because he allegedly cheated on the reality star.
In October 2022, Lala admitted that her split from the film producer took an emotional and physical toll on her. “Happy Independence Day to me. A year ago I had my ducks in a row and it was time to execute my game plan of escaping a toxic and unsafe place. Even writing this, my heart has started ponding,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I didn’t know what my future would hold. I lost 30 pounds from the stress and the trauma (sic).”
“I had to carry on, without skipping a beat- my daughter needed me,” she continued. “And when it all became too much, I would hand it over to God and the universe. I knew they would cradle me. They did and have ever since. (sic)”
Lala also thanked her mother and her friends for their support. She said, “Without you, I would have been stuck. Today, I feel happy. It is one day at a time until I reach resolution for the well-being of Ocean.”
