Rita Ora snuggles up to Oscar winning beau Taika Waititi for Super Bowl date

Rita Ora and boyfriend Taika Waititi seemed happily in love as they posed together at the Super Bowl over the weekend.

The couple cuddled up together as they watched the Super Bowl in Los Angeles on Sunday as they approach their first anniversary as a couple.

Posing for photos before the game, 31 year old Rita wore a white crop top and long matching skirt, which she accessorised with gold jewellery, including hoop earrings and layered necklaces.

The star’s filmmaker partner Taika, 46, opted for a more casual look, wearing black jeans and a T-shirt under a black button up shirt.

The couple both shared sweet posts for Valentine’s Day this year, posting a series of photos of them together, including one from the day they met four years ago.

Rita and Taika were friends for several years but their relationship is thought to have turned romantic a year ago when Rita was in Australia filming The Voice.

Posting a blurry photo of the couple together, Rita wrote: “Us. 4 years ago. To now. thanks for being cool. And entertaining me forevs..Happy Valentine’s Day bestie”.

She also shared a photo of herself planting a kiss on Taika’s cheek in a restaurant and one of them sitting together backstage at an event.

Meanwhile, Taika gave more insight into how the couple met as he posted the same photo to his Instagram story.

Taika, who shares two daughters with his ex wife Chelsea Winstanley, wrote: “First photo the night we met four years ago. We've been mates ever since. Then a year ago we decided to "complicate" things but it just got easier. Happy Valentines Day to my bestie @ritaora”.

Singer Rita recently revealed that freezing her eggs was the “best thing” she ever did and how she “wasn’t expecting” to find love with boyfriend Taika.

Speaking to The Independent, Rita said: “'I'd love to have a nice big family!

“I think as women, we put that pressure on ourselves, subconsciously, because we feel like that is our duty – to create and give life.

“So, I just wanted to not worry about it. And I didn't after, and it was the best thing I ever did.”

She also opened up on meeting her Oscar-winning director partner, saying: “I didn't expect to find love in Australia, nor was I looking for it.”

Rita added that she is keen to keep her relationship out of the spotlight, after having bad experiences in the past after she could be “so trusting and sometimes oversharing”.

“I think protecting something that you really care about, you've got to have a sense of privacy a little bit. I wouldn't have known that if I didn't go through what I went through in the past,” she said.
