Sir Rod Stewart, 77, and his wife Penny Lancaster, 51, enjoyed dinner at The Ritz on Friday night as the couple packed on the PDA. The father-of-eight – whose youngest sons are 16-year-old Alastair and Aiden, 10, dished on his musical future.

Penny took to her Instagram Stories and shared a cheeky photo with her husband as they embraced behind the curtain of the hotel to share a cheeky kiss.

She jokingly captioned the picture: “A little naughty!”

The mum-of-two could be seen wearing a black lace dress which she teamed with sky high heels, as the Loose Women star popped her leg into the air.

Sir Rod had his hand placed on the small of his wife’s back while his leg was propped onto a chair.

The rock legend flashed his black and white striped socks which he wore with a pair of silver glitter brogues.

The candid display of affection comes after the musician announced his plans to retire from “rock ‘n’ roll touring” next year.

While Rod has no plans to give up his music career, he does intend to slow down and spend more time with his family.

His live performances will also continue but he will forego stadium tours for “folk clubs with a guitar”.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Sir Rod mused: “Next year will be the end of my rock ‘n’ roll touring. I want to do something different. It feels like an end of an era. All things must come to an end.

“I’m not retiring and I still love singing, I just want to do something new. I might do a few folk clubs playing guitar. Just be different.”

He said: “I don’t want to do the big tours any more, especially in America. It takes me away from my kids for so long.

“It used to be OK because it was fun and games. It is still fun and games but I miss my kids so much.”

Sir Rod will kick off what he claims will be his last stadium tour of the UK in Nottingham on November 16.

The news comes after he revealed he pledged to pay the rent and bills for a Ukrainian family who fled Ukraine after Russia’s invasion.

The legendary British singer has helped husband and wife Rostyslav and Olena and their children Taras, 17, Kostya, 16, Roman, 13, Mariia, 10, and Dymtro, two, start a new life in the UK by finding them a house in Berkshire, furnishing it and paying the bills.

The singer often keeps his “charitable efforts” quiet but spoke candidly about his ongoing efforts in a bid to inspire others.

Speaking about his charitable efforts, Rod explained: “I usually keep all my charitable efforts nice and quiet and just do it.

“But I thought, ‘I am a knight, I have been given this knighthood because of the things I’ve achieved in my life and the charity work I’ve done over the years.’

He added to The Mirror: “But that was the past; I want to be seen to be doing something now.

“I am a knight, I should be using my power to do something for people. I am sure that if there are people out there who see what I am doing, they will pick up some slack too.”
