Ronan Keating is ‘the biggest fan’ of Real Housewives of Cheshire, says Shane Lynch

Shane Lynch says his former Boyzone bandmate Ronan Keating is "the biggest fan" of Real Housewives of Cheshire as he returns for a second series.

The 46 year old's wife Sheena, 43, joined the cast of the hit ITVBe show last year, with the Irish singer making numerous cameos alongside his spouse.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, the When The Going Gets Tough hitmaker has revealed that one of his bandmates in particular is always after the latest gossip from the show.

He said: "Ronan’s the biggest fan of the show I think. He calls me after every episode and asks about everything."

Despite Ronan's interest in the reality series, Shane says we shouldn't expect to see the band – who split for a second time in 2019 – to be filming a spin-off any time soon.

"We tried to do something years ago. I don’t think you’ll see us back on telly like that," he says.

Ronan's son Jack Keating, 23, recently turned to reality TV himself, becoming a bombshell arrival for Love Island's Casa Amor twist.

But Shane, who starred on the second series of the celebrity version in 2006, says he would have advised Jack to not take part in the show.

He said: "I didn’t even know [he was going on the show]! You’re not allowed to tell anybody when you’re going on a show like that and he did keep it really quiet.

"Jack’s a lovely boy and I think if I was to give him any advice I would have told him not to go on it!

"He’s such a nice kid, not that the other lads weren’t, but it’s a different bravado. Jack’s more gathered and is more focused on his career than a life in reality TV."

Discussing what viewers can expect from the new series of Real Housewives of Cheshire, Sheena said: "You know the show, there’s always drama.

"Viewers can expect lots of drama but also a lot of growth. The girls do make up too, but then we fall out again. It’s the same fantastic format as always."

Shane adds: "I don’t think the word is drama, I think friendships are just heightened in many situations.

"Sheena comes home and discusses the days spent with the girls and what happens, but being on the other side of it I do think it’s an interesting group of friends."

The Real Housewives of Cheshire returns to ITVBe and ITV Hub at 9pm on Monday. The Real Housewives & The Menopause is available now on ITV Hub
