She captioned the post: “Mummy. Two years today you left me and the pain has never left my heart. I love and miss you so much. I hear and feel you all the time. My Angel Maria.”

The former Big Brother star was flooded with messages, with her colleague Ruth being one of the first people to reach out on the picture-sharing site.

Ruth penned: “Oh darling… sending you so much love and one of my big hugs. Your Mum was, and always will be SO proud of you.”

Meanwhile, Ruth’s continuation with ITV has recently been confirmed after the presenter’s husband Eamonn Holmes quit This Morning for GB News.

The hosting duo was replaced by Alison and Dermot O’Leary on the daytime show.

Ruth will continue to work on the programme and will also continue her role as a presenter on Loose Women.

An ITV spokesperson said: “We would like to wish Eamonn all of the very best in his new role. As a duo, Eamonn & Ruth have been part of the This Morning presenting team for the last 15 years and we thank Eamonn for all of his hard work and contribution to the show.

“Ruth remains an important part of ITV Daytime both as a continuing member of the This Morning family and as an anchor presenter on Loose Women.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
