The Apprentice star Karren Brady, 52, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Madonna, 63, flashing the flesh on Instagram. The Vogue hitmaker has sparked backlash over her racy snaps in recent months, and the response was no different when she posted a series of photos parading her peachy rear in fishnet tights and a lace thong last week.

Some of Madonna’s 17.5 million followers have accused her of growing old disgracefully, however, Karren was quick to defend the singer’s right to flaunt her “fabulous” figure.

Other social media users have accused Madonna of photoshopping her revealing pictures due to her incredibly pert posterior.

However, Karren has insisted that fans shouldn’t be focusing on whether or not the snaps have been altered, but instead should be praising Madonna for daring to wear whatever she wants to wear at any age.

Responding to the pop star’s latest divisive photoshoot, the entrepreneur wrote in her column for The Sun: “You just know that some people will say that at 63 it’s time for her to grow up.

“But why on earth should she! So what if they are photoshopped?

“She clearly looks fabulous, and most fabulous of all is the fact she has always been her own woman.

“Women should be able to wear what they want and do what they want without being shamed by anyone for any reason, especially age.”

Karren concluded her thoughts on the matter by arguing: “Just because you are 60 or 70 doesn’t mean you have to dress like the older nuns on Call The Midwife.”

It comes just days after Madonna modelled lacy lingerie, which she paired with a black corset and a pair of matching heeled boots.

The actress kept her blonde tresses tied back in two ponytails and accessorised with a black hat.

Later in the gallery of snaps, Madonna could be seen rocking a bedazzled military-style jacket that featured the words “God Save The Queen”.

“Car troubles,” the mother-of-six cheekily captioned the post, as she writhed around on the bonnet of one of her vehicles.

Although many of the star’s fans were full of praise over her stunning snaps, others were less keen.

chriswbeg commented: “Not cool, sorry.

“I am a lifelong fan but we have all grown up.”

Another fan named mystiquexthompson chimed in: “SAD that this Queen can’t recognize her self worth and just relax and enjoy all the blessings.

“You are Madonna a goddess from our teen years to the very end of our lives!

“Your music and energy lives within us.”

However, fans such as goddess715 gushed: “That’s why I love @madonna she gives zero fks periodt.”(sic)

Bentheauthor added: “The misogyny in these comments is a sad reflection of the world and Madonna fandom. Express yourself don’t repress yourself at any age!”

Monsieurx1975 agreed: “It scares people that you are not afraid to be yourself and more so because you are 63. I think narrow minded people who react to your image would be scared to death if they knew what was happening in your brain and soul. Maybe that’s the real issue.

“I’m proud to be a part of the revolution of love and I love the authenticity you’ve maintained despite all of the fear and ageism.

“It’s age now, it was a million other things since you started-thank you for being Madonna whether people like it or not.”
