Carol Vorderman, 60, has finally revealed today her outfit that she wore to watch her friend Kym Marsh, 43, tie the knot with Army Major Scott Ratcliff, 32. The former Countdown host showed off her incredible brown and cream feathered hat as she posed for photos on her Instagram account.

However, Carol revealed that most of her following had voted for her to wear a black headpiece instead to complement her curve-hugging navy dress.

She typed: “So @marsh_kym and Scott’s incredible wedding two weeks ago is now out in the magazine this week. It’s lovely.

“I loved every minute of it…”

“Gave you a choice of 3 hats from @lisa_von_hallwyl ….thousands of you voted for the black with green and blue feathers……oops…”

“Sorry to disappoint but I wore the first one. Picture with my buddy Clare in this post from the grounds of Sandhurst,” she added.

Carol shared images of her wearing hats that did not make the cut for Kym’s big day, each one looking elegant and appropriate for the occasion.

However, it seems the TV personality could not resist the tawny design from Cotswold based milliner Lisa Von Hallwyl.

On the designer’s Instagram, she typed: “What a fabulous picture sent by my lovelies @carolvorders and @bentley_biggles for @marsh_kym amazing wedding last weekend.

“I can’t thank you both enough for making the hats look so amazing and the smiles always make my job so worthwhile.

“My dreams are coming true and I’m so thankful to you both for helping make it happen,” Lisa said.

Kym and Scott said “I do” last weekend at the Royal Memorial Chapel at Sandhurst, Surrey, on a day that was full of emotion.

The actress, who looked stunning wearing a Carolina Herrera gown, was joined by her former Coronation Street co-star Alison King, who was on bridesmaid duty.

Kym was walked down the aisle by her dad, 76, who has sadly been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.

Speaking to OK! she said: “There were tears when he walked me down the aisle and when I gave him a kiss as he sat down – there were lots of tears surrounding my dad that day.”

The happy couple were surrounded by family, including Kim’s children David, 26, Emilie, 24, and Polly, 10, along with Scott’s daughter Renee, six, and Kym’s grandson, Teddy, two.

During the ceremony, Scott’s dad read out a poem his son had written for Kym while on a tour of Afghanistan.

There was also a poem about friendship from Kym’s brother.

Once pronounced man and wife the loved up pair were treated to a military parade, where Scott’s army colleagues drew their swords into an arch for the couple to walk underneath.

And the fun didn’t stop there.

The couple treated their guests to a lavish reception at Sandhurst’s Indian Army Memorial Room, which was attended by Kym’s former bandmate Danny Foster from Hear’Say and her Morning Live co-stars Gethin Jones and Janette Manrara.

After tucking into a feast of prawn cocktail, chicken supreme and sticky toffee pudding emotional speeches began.
