Spare a thought for Mike Tindall, who sat behind Prince Harry on May 6

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: If Prince Harry thought he had a bad seat at King Charles’ Coronation, spare a thought for Mike Tindall who was on the row behind

If Prince Harry thought he had a bad seat at his father’s Coronation, spare a thought for Mike Tindall, who was on the row behind.

‘You’re in the hottest spot, but it’s happening all around the corner where you can’t see,’ wails the former England rugby star, who’s married to King Charles’s niece Zara. ‘You do have a front row seat, but… ‘

Speaking on his rugby podcast with fellow former international James Haskell, Tindall adds: ‘It was unbelievable being sat there, but frustrating.’

Mike told his rugby podcast with fellow former international James Haskell that: ‘It was unbelievable being sat there, but frustrating’

Referring to a screen attached to a pillar at Westminster Abbey, he adds: ‘We had a TV.’

Harry should have just stayed at home in California…

Take That’s right royal record deal

King Charles was seen dancing along to Take That as they performed their hit Never Forget at the finale of the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle.

Now, the band have been rewarded with a lucrative new deal with EMI Records.

‘They’ve been missed,’ says their manager, Chris Dempsey.

‘It was their first performance together for four years — and what a stage to do it on.’

The three-piece group — who were previously signed to Polydor — plan to release their first new album in six years, as well as a film adaptation of stage musical Greatest Days, and perform another huge live concert at BST Hyde Park in London this summer.

Aristocrat Catherine FitzGerald spent the day at Chelsea Flower Show with ‘King Charles’ twice over yesterday.

First, with her husband, the actor Dominic West, 53, who plays His Majesty in The Crown. Secondly, with the real King Charles, who attended the garden festival later in the day.

The Irish landscape designer, 52, and her husband live just 14 miles from Highgrove, the King’s Gloucestershire home.

She is said to have bonded with Charles over their love of horticulture and redesigned the garden at Hillsborough Castle.

After her starring role at King Charles’s Coronation, Floella Benjamin was determined not to be missed at Chelsea Flower Show yesterday.

The former TV presenter wore a brightly coloured dress and a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses.

At Westminster Abbey, Baroness Benjamin, 73, carried His Majesty’s Sceptre With Dove during the ceremony.

Cate Blanchett may be in the French Riviera, but her mind is still on gardening.

‘I know it’s a cliche, but from gardening you do learn patience, which is something I need to learn,’ she tells me at Cannes Film Festival.

The Hollywood star, 54, says she’s put off her ambition to move behind the camera like her husband, film director Andrew Upton, adding: ‘I have four children and a garden, and I don’t want the plants to die.’
