St. Vincent has shared a trailer for her upcoming sixth studio album Daddy’s Home, due out on May 14 via Loma Vista.
The clip says the singer, whose real name is Annie Clark, “is in a new role like you’ve never seen her before.” The video plays the the album’s lead single, “Pay Your Way In Pain” and also features excerpts of unreleased tracks.
The visual shows the singer suspensefully looking around corners as if she is being followed by someone.
Speaking to NME around the time the lead single was released, Clark explained that Daddy’s Home was inspired by her father’s release from prison for white-collar crime, as well as his vinyl collection from the ’70s.
St. Vincent told The New Cue last month that she and Jack Antonoff recorded Daddy’s Home at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York City.
St. Vincent’s last album was MASSEDUCTIOn, which was released four years ago.
