Loose Women presenter and mum-of-four Stacey Solomon, 32, has returned to Instagram for the first time after announcing the heartbreaking death of her beloved pet dog Theo yesterday.

Stacey shared a photo of her and fiancé Joe Swash’s baby daughter Rose snuggling up to their Sausage Dog Peanut while she opened up on feeling “so sad and guilty” over the loss of Theo, who died in her arms on Boxing Day.

The star also took the opportunity to send out a heartfelt thank you to her fans for supporting her during this difficult time for the family.

Stacey penned in view of her 4.9 million followers this afternoon: “Hello everyone.

“Last night when everyone was sleeping (the time of night Theo would sit on my lap and it would be just us.) I sat and read your messages. Thank you.

“I can’t even tell you what comfort your kind words brought me.

“Knowing lots of you knew and cared about Theo through here makes me feel so much less alone.

“I feel so sad and guilty for some reason I don’t know why but even with all of those feelings your kind messages made me smile and for that I am so so grateful.

“Love you all to the moon and back.”

Stacey emotionally added of her remaining pet pooch: “Peanut is extremely sad.

“We are giving him all of the cuddles and love and he is cuddling Rose like a hot water bottle so hopefully he will be back to his jumpy happy self soon.”
