Stacey Solomon is holed up at home after being trapped in by snow at her Essex residence and admitted she was unable to get into the studio. The Loose Women panellist was due to join Chris Evans on his Virgin Breakfast Show today but said no cars were prepared to drive her into the studio.

The 33-year-old was forced to chat with the Virgin Radio host at Pickle Cottage before chaos ensued.

Chris commented: “You’re on your iPad snowed in at your farm. Is that right?”

Stacey replied: “Yes. I’m just at my house and there is no one willing to drive near here at the moment. I’m stuck.”

She cheekily added Chris’ co-star Sinead was not the reason she didn’t come into the Virgin studios.

“How snowed in are you? And how long has the snow been falling from where you are in Essex?” Chris quizzed further.

The Loose Women presenter remarked: “Only since last night.”

As the Virgin host quizzed Stacey on her latest book offering, Tap to Tidy, one of her children could be heard playfully screaming in the background.

The TV star winced: “Sorry,” as Chris began laughing, adding: “Poor Stacey. That is the last thing she needs in an interview right now.”

As their on-air chat continued the connection suddenly went dead as they lost communication with Stacey.

Chris said: “That’s it. She’s fallen off. I bet one of the kids has just hit her iPad with a snowball. Guaranteed that’s what has happened there.”

The radio host continued speaking with listeners as they attempted to get Stacey back on the air.

A couple of minutes later Stacey was back on the line, and she remarked, “Sorry about that.”

She added: “I don’t what happened. I think the snow is interfering with my signal.”

Following their chat, the mum-of-four took to Instagram and shared a photo of the blanket of snow which has covered Pickle Cottage.

In a follow-up snap, Stacey enjoyed a hot drink outside as she watched the views from her Essex home.

The Loose Women star tied the knot with her husband Joe Swash in August.

The blended family shared the details of their big day on Instagram which included a strapless lace gown, jars filled with white candles and a barn-style reception at their home.

Stacey’s sons Zachary, 14, Leighton, 10, three-year-old Rex as well as Joe’s son Harry, 15, walked her down the aisle alongside the presenter’s dad.

The couple’s daughter Rose helped scatter flower petals hand-picked from their garden.

While she shares Rex and Rose with Joe, Stacey co-parents Zachary, who she gave birth to at 17, with childhood sweetheart Dean Cox, while Leighton’s dad is her ex-fiancé, Aaron Barham, who the X Factor star split from in 2014.
