Stacey Solomon so sad her maternity leave is over as she plans work return

Stacey Solomon has admitted she's feeling so "sad" to be going back to work after her maternity leave is over, as she celebrated her baby daughter Rose reaching three months old.

The 32 year old Loose Women star is gearing up to head back to her role on the panel of the ITV lunchtime show, along with some of her other TV and work projects.

Sharing a series of images on her Instagram stories, the mum-of-four reflected back on the wonderful journey she's had with her newborn baby, and became emotional over the prospect of not seeing Rose all day.

In one story of the little tot on her front, Stacey, who opened up about visiting her late dog Theo's final resting place on Tuesday, January 4, showed a close-up of her daughter to the camera.

“Hello everyone. Today I am three months old… Where did it go?” the emotional star told her fans.

“Actually so emotional at how quickly Rose is growing.

“I got hardly anything done to be honest because I just wanted to play with her.”

Stacey continued: “I love my job so so much but oh my gosh I’m sad that my maternity leave is almost over.

“I feel so nervous to go back,” she then revealed alongside a series of crying emojis.

Stacey went on to show precious moments of her fiancé Joe Swash with their little girl, as well as her sons Zachary, Leighton and Rex, one.

“Why does this feel like yesterday?” Stacey wrote on a throwback of former EastEnders actor Joe, 39, cradling and rocking his daughter.

“I’m actually so sad that three months has gone by already. I’m so grateful to have had these beautiful months but why oh why does it go so quick…

“It’s been the most magical three months Rose. I can still smell your newborn smell and I’m so grateful to still be boobing with you,” the star later added.

Still feeling bittersweet about her first three months with baby Rose at home coming to an end, Stacey shared a post on her Instagram grid too, as she shared two adorable selfies holding her daughter in the nursery.

“Three Whole Months. How did this happen Rose?” the star captioned the sweet post. “Three wonderful months of loving you. My daughter. My Rose.

“Now can we please just stop time for a little while my heart can’t take it,” the star added.
