Stevie Nicks recently released a cover of “Cotton Candy Land,” which features on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann‘s Elvis Presley biopic, Elvis. Nicks is joined on the track by singer-songwriter Chris Isaak.
“Cotton Candy Land” was written by Ruth Batchelor and Bob Roberts and was recorded by Presley in 1962. Presley’s rendition of the song appeared in the 1963 movie It Happened at the World’s Fair.
Nicks is just one of several stars to feature on the Elvis soundtrack. The 36-track soundtrack album also features Eminem & CeeLo Green, Jack White, Tame Impala, Jazmine Sullivan, Gary Clark Jr., and many more.
The biopic, which explores the relationship between the late rock icon and his manager Colonel Tom Parker, was released in the U.S. on Friday June 24. The film stars Austin Butler in the title role and Oscar-winner Tom Hanks as Parker.
Luhrmann co-wrote the screenplay for Elvis along with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce and Jeremy Doner.
